Seekonk Letter Carriers Collect Food for Doorways Food Pantry

On May 9th, the Seekonk Letter Carriers and their postal patrons combined in a very successful campaign to raise food for local families in need. The foodstuffs collected were donated to the Doorways Food Pantry, which is dedicated to providing food support for Seekonk families who are facing challenging times in their lives. Doorways is an all-volunteer organization, and is recognized by the Boston Food Bank as one of the Top Food Pantries in the state. The volunteers and clients of Doorways would like to thank the Letter Carriers for all the extra work to collect the food, and thank the community of Seekonk for their generous donations. A special appreciation is owed to Bob Penacho, who has served as Seekonk Letter Carriers Food Drive Coordinator for the past fifteen years. More than fifty local families rely on Doorways every week, and Doorways, in turn, relies on people like you. Thank you, Seekonk!
