Seekonk Board of Selectmen Remains the Same

Cadime to Remain in Seekonk
Selectmen reportedly offered Shawn Cadime a salary increase to stay in Seekonk after he was offered the job of town administrator in Somerset and Cadime has decided to stay. Cadime started working in Seekonk as town administrator in March 2014. Cadime, who served as city administrator in Fall River for several years, was one of seven candidates for mayor of Fall River in last year’s special election to recall former Fall River Mayor Will Flanagan.

Parker Remains Chair of Board of Selectmen
The board of selectmen reorganized following the election last month and Dave Parker was appointed to continue as chairman. Nelson Almeida was voted vice-chairman and David Andrade continues as clerk.

Selectmen Reappoint DeFontes as Treasurer-Collector
Selectmen reappointed Christine DeFontes as the town’s treasurer-collector. She has served in the position since May 2003.
