"Sassy" Sasha is Available for Adoption at the Seekonk Animal Shelter

Posted

Hello.

So, the girls at the shelter are calling me Sassy Sasha and I take it as a compliment. I am an 11-month-old female torti and when I arrived at the shelter in May, I was frightened and very nervous. I’m pretty sure I got my name because whenever a human would approach, I would hiss and try to be intimidating so they would just leave me alone.

But then I started to realize that this life is way better than living out in the woods. Over the past month, the volunteers have been spending extra time with me and some even call me a princess and say that I’m a good girl… I like that!! I now trust the humans are not going to hurt me… I’m beginning to enjoy when they pet me and play with jingly bells and stuffed toys.

I heard the volunteers say that if I’m nice to everyone I will get my own family to love me and I will get to live at their house and be able run around, look out the window and sleep all day… that would be amaaaaazing!!

I’m not being a diva but I would just like my new family to give me extra TLC and patience when I move in so I can get comfortable with my new surroundings. I’ll be patiently waiting at the Seekonk Animal Shelter, 100 Peck St. for my new family to adopt me and spoil me rotten…. That doesn’t sound sassy, does it? Open daily 2-4, except Wed 3-6.
