Seekonk High School Graduate to Play for Miami Marlins

Seekonk High Alum Matt Foley was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the 40^th round of the Major League Draft last month.  Foley, who attends Rhode Island College, was the American Baseball Coaches Association All-American and All-Little East Conference junior catcher for the RIC baseball team.  Foley may consider leaving RIC depending upon the contract offered by the Marlins, according to an article in the Sun Chronicle. Foley would be the third baseball player from Seekonk to be drafted and play professional ball.
