Area Residents Honored At The Providence Country Day School

East Providence, RI — John Greene '15, of Seekonk, was honored at the Providence Country Day School Awards Assembly Friday, June 5. Both middle and high school students received distinction for academic, athletic, and civic excellence and achievement.

Greene received the Class of 1929 Gold Medal for Excellence. The school's highest student award is given for excellence in scholarship, participation in athletics, participation in other extracurricular activities, leadership in and influence upon the school, and faithfulness of effort. Greene also received the Robert Arthur Lavan Memorial Athletic Award — presented to an outstanding senior male athlete for recognition of participation, good sportsmanship, and leadership in athletics.
