Winter’s Last Gasp

Posted

3/19/22, Saturday 9 - 11am
Winter’s Last Gasp, Osamequin Farm (80 Walnut Street -off Prospect Str)
Join us on this last day of winter and enjoy a walk in the woods with Paul Miller and Tom Webb. Paul is the new Stewardship Coordinator for Seekonk Land Conservation Trust (SLCT) and Tom is SLCT Board President. Test your ability and skill at recognizing trees by bark and shape; look for bird cavities and nests, and explore the woodland trails behind Osamaquin Farm finding evidence of how plants and animals survive throughout the winter. Andrew Jencks will be on hand to provide a historical perspective on the Osamaquin property.
Family friendly, easy trail less than 2 miles of walking. Wear boots for mud/snow, use tick repellent, and bring your camera and binoculars!
Meeting point and parking: Meet by the large barn behind the homestead, park on the right side of Walnut Street
