William (Bill) Jacob

William (Bill) Jacob, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 from natural causes. He was the son of Josephine M. Brown and George D. Jacob of Abington MA both deceased and brother of George Jacob of New Hampshire.

Despite being born with Down Syndrome, Bill led a full and happy life. Assisted by the wonderful people at Beta Community Partnerships where he made many friends. He was often seen at his favorite past time events including rock concerts, Patriots games, (yelling for his favorite player to "come on Brady") or just enjoying a Silver Bullet at his favorite restaurants and pubs around town, such as Boneyard BBQ and Spumoni's. Wherever Bill was he brought joy and laughter to family, friends and strangers alike.

He had a special bond with his late Aunt, Helen Lyons of Abington and often enjoyed "High Tea" with her and her lady friends after church on many Sundays as well as family dinners.
He was a long-time employee of Sysco (Foods) where he made friends with many people and retired with the highest company recognition.

Bill was served by the many good people of Beta Community Partnerships for over 30 years and would often give high praise to all the wonderful people at Beta with a special "shout out" to the late Allen Falconer, from Norton, MA and Kirsta Lanni from Woonsocket, RI for their exceptional care and affection shown to Bill over the many years.

Bill will be missed by his lifelong friend, Keith Dorval, formerly of Mansfield, MA and all of his family. Bill and Keith were friends for over 30 years and Bill was considered a family member and a big part of all family get-togethers, big and small.

There will be no in-person services held, instead services will be streamed live from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, Attleboro at 5 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021.
