Victor A. Szala, Sr., 77, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Ethel M. (Prevost) Szala for fifty-six years. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Harriet (Wegiel) Szala, he resided in Seekonk over forty-five years. Victor served in the United States Army. He was employed by Hasbro for thirty-eight years until retiring in 1994 as a Design Engineer. He is survived by his loving wife, Ethel, and was the devoted father of Victor Szala, Jr. and his companion, JoAnn Alix, of Seekonk, Timothy Szala and his wife, Julie, of Barrington and Debra Henry and her husband, Scott, of Woonsocket, and the devoted grandfather of nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves his beloved dog and cat, Cleo and Jackpot. He was the brother of the late Kevin “Joe” Szala. Services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation will be Friday 4 to 7 p.m.
