Robert R. Gray, 78, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the beloved husband of Frances A. (Oliviera) Gray to whom he was married 56 years. Born in New Jersey, he was a son of the late Ralph and Pauline (Molnnar) Gray. Mr. Gray served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed on destroyers USS Goodrich and Hugh Purvis. He retired from Osram- Sylvania as Supervisor of Insmumentation and Control Engineering after 33 years of service. An avid fisherman, he was happiest when he was on or near the water. He was also an avid traveler. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Cheryl Wolfe and her husband Steve and Lisa Henriksen and her husband John. He was the best Papa ever to Megan Soule Henriksen and Matthew Robert Henriksen. He also leaves one brother, David Gray. He was the father of the late Bradley Gray. His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM in the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5-8 PM.
