Robert J. McLintock


Robert J. McLintock, 76, passed away on Aug. 13, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Silvia) McLintock. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Etta (Carpenter) McLintock.

Mr. McLintock was a Vietnam era U.S. Army and Coast Guard veteran. He was the proprietor of Ocean State Industrial Sales, formerly of Smithfield, and Desmark Industries in Cranston prior to retiring in 2005.

Robert served on the Seekonk School Committee for six years, the Seekonk Board of Selectmen, and on the building committees for Aitken Elementary School, Hurley Middle School, and the Seekonk Senior Center. He also served on the Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School Board for 17 years in Franklin. Robert enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert D. McLintock and his wife Nadja of Swansea; a daughter-in-law, Lisa McLintock, the wife of his late son Gary J. McLintock; six grandchildren: John McLintock, and his wife Caitlin of San Antonio, Texas; Sarah and Brittany McLintock, both of Maine; David McLintock of North Attleboro and Steven and Julia McLintock, both of Swansea; a great-granddaughter Madelyn and several nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, 4 to 7 p.m., from the William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Funeral services and interment will be private.
