Rave Pleads Not Guilty to Domestic Assault Charges
Seekonk Fire Chief David Rave appeared in court Tuesday and plead not guilty to domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct charges.
Rave, 52, was arrested June 18 at his Cranston home. He was ordered held on a $1000 personal recognizance. The victim in the case had requested the no-contact order be lifted. The judge denied the request.
“Chief Rave remains on paid administrative leave until the completion of an investigation by the Board (of Selectmen),” Town Administrator Shawn Cadime said.
Rave began working for the town last August following the retirement of former Chief Michael Healy, who is currently a member of the Board of Selectmen. Rave is due back in court on July 28 for a pre-trial conference.
