Preston J. Schultz, 96, of Seekonk passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at his home after a yearlong battle with cancer.

He was the husband of the late Eileen R. (Reid) Schultz to whom he was married for 64 years.

Born in East Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Grace (Wolfe) Schultz.

Mr. Schultz was a resident of Seekonk and a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church since 1951. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII serving in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theatres. He was employed by Brown and Sharpe Manufacturing Company for 44 years in various management positions until his retirement in August of 1986 at the age of 62. Mr. Schultz had joined the Seekonk Gun Club in 1946 and has been a member there for 74 years and was also treasurer for 34 years. He sold Christmas trees for over 30 years and loved nature, fishing and gardening.

He leaves three children, Francine D’Elia and her husband Damian, Paul Schultz and Matthew Schultz and his wife Debra, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church or Saint Vincent DePaul Society
