Michael J. Rufful

Michael J. Rufful, age 84, of Pleasant St., Seekonk, MA, died April 25, 2018 at home with his beloved family by his side. He was the husband of the late Marjorie Anne (Farrar) Rufful. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Thomas and Rose (Moses) Rufful.

He was founder and owner of Rufful’s Restaurant at Wayland Square on the East Side of Providence for 54 years. He served with the US Navy during peacetime.

He is survived by his children; Peter and his wife Pam of Lincoln, Linda Marcotte of Seekonk, Paul Rufful of Seekonk, 6 grandchildren; Shawna, Shane, Meghan, Molly, Alexander, Nicholas and 5 great grandchildren. He was the brother of Victoria Couris of Seekonk, and the late Isaac Rufful, Olga Tamer, Evelyn Banna and Bertha Morin.

His funeral will begin Thursday, May 3, at 9am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI, followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Taunton Ave., Seekonk, MA. Inurnment will be at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8pm.
