Marcel R. Lefebvre, 82, formerly of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Seagrave) Lefebvre and they had been married for the past 63 years. Besides his wife, he leaves his children Michelle (Russell) Julien of Seekonk, Carmen (Gerry) Poisson of Cumberland, Marc (Debbie) Lefebvre of Pascoag, David (Jill) Lefebvre of North Smithfield, Marcel (Carol) Lefebvre of Cumberland, Steven (Leslie) Lefebvre of Lincoln, Cheryl (Richard) Dohring of Cumberland; his brother Armand Lefebvre of North Smithfield; his 16 grandchildren, Ryan, Keith, Amy, Kevin, Matthew, Amanda, Julia, Audra, Karissa, Melissa, Ariana, Steven, Gabriella, Zachary and Courtney and four great-granddaughters, Maddison, Braelyn, Rowen and Makenna. He was the grandfather of the late Kyle Julien and brother of the late Paul Lefebvre.

Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Julien and Doretta (Peloquin) Lefebvre. He resided in Seekonk for the past 11years, previously residing on Manville Hill Road in Cumberland.

Marcel was employed as a Supervisor for the Ted's Construction Company for over 30 years until his retirement. He was also the owner of the former Marcels BBQ Restaurant in Cumberland.

He was a communicant of the St. Joan of Arc Church, where he served as an Usher, past vice president of the Men's Association, Scouting and CYO Volunteer. He was an avid New England sports fan. Above all his joy in his life was spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Friday from 4 to 8 PM.
