Joseph Rose, 93, of Seekonk, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Woonsocket Health & Rehabilitation. He was the husband of the late Lena “Lee” (Ruggiero) Rose.

Born in East Providence, he was a son of the late Anthony and Mary (Perry) Rose. Joe was a truck driver for the former Law Trucking Company in Lincoln for 25 years before he retired in 1992 and was also a 48 year member of the Teamsters, Local #251. He was a Army veteran of World War II. Joe was a former volunteer Firefighter for the Seekonk Fire Department, a member of the American Legion Post 311 in Seekonk and a former Vice President of the South Attleboro Seniors.

He leaves one daughter, Jo-Ann Fisher of Seekonk, one grandson, Joseph Fisher of Seekonk and one brother, Henry Rose of Scituate. He was the brother of the late Anna Evans, Mary Maceda, Olive Silva, Anthony Rose and John Rose.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Coyle Drive, Seekonk. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8.
