Joseph Michael Driscoll

Joseph Michael Driscoll, 92, of Seekonk passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Elmhurst Rehabilitation Center after a long period of declining health. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Foley), and brother of the late William Driscoll. He is survived by Carol Coutu, his companion of 27 years, as well as two step children, John Allen and Kendra Shortle, nieces and nephews, and their families.

Mr. Driscoll served in the Navy and later earned a Bachelor’s degree from Curry College. He went on to found Driscoll Insurance Agency and Driscoll Real Estate. Joseph was a long-standing member at Wannamoisett Country Club. He loved golf, good food, dancing, and skiing. He also had a keen interest in the fine arts. He enjoyed collecting paintings, reading poetry, and writing his own plays and poems. He was an active supporter of Trinity Play House for many years.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 11:30 AM in the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:30 AM.
