Joe S. Papa, 64, of Oak St., Seekonk, passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of Christine (Meunier) Papa.

Born Aug. 9, 1954, in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Hilda (Coelho) Kaprove. Joe was a lifelong automotive service manager. He loved his family, friends, and his dogs. He also loved going out to eat. He was a member of the Prince Henry Club of RI and of the Sons of Italy.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Steven Miller of Riverside, and his son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Sarah Papa of Johnston; his grandchildren, Lauren Rose Papa and Derek Joseph Papa. He was the brother of Tony Papa, Bill Papa, Hilda Dewey, Evelyn Gaudet, Joanne Crowle and Elaine Rodrigues.

His funeral will take place Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 10am in the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence. Burial will follow at the Seekonk Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 4pm until 8pm.
