Joan Cronin
Joan Cronin 86, formerly of Seekonk, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late William P. Cronin.
Born in Newton, Ma. she was a daughter of the late Anthony W. and Elizabeth C. (Daly) Schilpp. Mrs. Cronin was a bookkeeper for James Auto Body for 25 years before she retired. She was very active in her community and was always helping her friends and family and anyone who was in need of help. She was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and was a former secretary/treasurer of Seekonk Commons. She was an avid sports fan, a gourmet cook and loved celebrating the holidays with her family. Above everything else, she adored her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
She leaves three children, Maura Bellamy and her husband Robert, Sean Cronin and his wife Stacy and Scott Cronin, seven grandchildren, Robert, Kacey, Corey, Lindsey, Stephanie, Kyle and Riley and one sister, Mary G. Schilpp. She was the sister of the late Elizabeth Burke, David and Charles Schilpp.
Her funeral will be held on Monday September 17, 2018 at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Taunton Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 5-8. In lieu of flowers contributions to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care would be appreciated.
