George M. Piquette, 79, of Oakwood Senior Estates, Swansea, formerly of Seekonk, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Barbara E. (Renzi) Piquette to whom he was married for 57 years.

Born in Seekonk, he was the son of the late Manuel and Maria (Paiva) Piquette. George was a logistics manager for over 43 years before he retired from Adams Drug Co./Brooks/Rite Aid. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Seekonk and a member of the Seekonk Council, Knights of Columbus #5108. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. He will forever be remembered as a selfless, gentle man who took great pleasure in doing for others.

Besides his wife he leaves two children, Julianne M. Kenneally and her boyfriend Michael Liberto of Seekonk and George M. Piquette Jr and his wife Gabriela of Barrington, two grandchildren, Nicole J. Kenneally and Erica R. Kenneally, three step grandchildren, Louis J. Scaglione, Samantha R. Scaglione and Cosmin Iacoban, one sister, Mary Amaral, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Manuel Piquette, Virginia Hawksley and Anthony Piquette. Last, he leaves an abundance of friends from his life journeys.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 10:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Taunton Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5 - 7
