Seekonk, MA –Join professional storyteller, teaching artist and writer Mary Jo Maichack in a writing workshop for adults and older teens. Poetry by You will be held at Seekonk Public Library on Wednesday, April 27 from 4 -5:30 PM. In this program you’ll get to listen to readings of classic and contemporary poetry and enjoy writing prompts that inspire you to write fearlessly. Share your work or just listen. Not for critiques, in this class you’ll find a kind, supportive, fun environment to encourage you to dare to fail! Bring a notebook, paper, tablet, papyrus if you wish, but you’ll receive a notebook for attending. We’ll listen, talk, write, and enjoy language and each other. Whether you’ve never written one poem or have shelves full of them, you’re invited to this time to play with and celebrate words. Free your voice! Come!

Register in the Events Calendar at www.seekonkpl.org/events.  This program is sponsored through a grant from the Seekonk Cultural Council, a local agency that is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
