Flower Pressing with a Master Gardener Wednesday, April 20 at 6 PM

Seekonk, MA – Join us at Seekonk Public Library for the program Flower Pressing on Wednesday, April 20 at 6 PM to learn the best techniques to keep the beauty of fresh flowers beyond their peak season. This presentation is perfect for anyone who enjoys flowers, whether you have a green thumb or not! Space is limited; register in the Events Calendar at www.seekonkpl.org/events. 

In this program you will learn how to choose, collect, press and use pressed flowers in projects like stationery or pictures. You will see sample projects as well as learn a brief history of flower pressing and some current trends.

Presenter Valerie Begin taught math and science at Ponaganset Middle school for 33 years. Since becoming a Master Gardener in 2008 she has logged more than 3000 volunteer hours including answering gardening questions received on the public URI Gardening Hotline.
