Carole “Teda” Garrity Remembered

Carole “Teda” A. Garrity, 76, of Seekonk passed away at her home on Thursday, July 20, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Wayne E. Garrity to whom she was married 53 Years.

Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late William and Martha (Doyle) Cullen. Teda was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and a committed adorer of the Blessed Sacrament who attended weekly on Tuesdays from 9-10 PM for the last 20 years. She was a dedicated girl scout cookie mom in the ’80s, a devoted sports mom to her kids in the 90’s, and a school bus aide for special needs children in Seekonk in the 2000’s. She could be found every Friday afternoon with her girlfriends sipping wine and sharing laughs. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, cruises, and traveling the world with her husband and girlfriends. She recently fulfilled one of her bucket list trips, a riverboat cruise through Paris France to see the Eiffel Tower. She was a loving wife, an adoring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed by all.

Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Bridget L. Garrity, and her partner James Altomari of Rumford, one son, David W. Garrity, and his partner Erin Brown of Pawtucket, four grandchildren, Jared Oliver, Kassidy Garrity, Lily Altomari, and Olivia Garrity, three brothers, Robert Cullen, David Cullen both of Riverside and Paul Cullen of Newton, MA, lifelong friends, Sharon Dalessio of Seekonk, Karen Menezes of Portsmouth, and numerous nieces and nephews, she was predeceased by her brother, William “Babe” Cullen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Avenue, Seekonk, MA. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of choice in memory of Carole “Teda” A. Garrity.
