Kenneth H. Bridge, age 89, of Seekonk, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the loving husband of Dorothy (Bradshaw) Bridge to whom he has been married for the past 67 years.

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Westall N. and Alice (Hindle) Bridge, he lived in Fall River before moving to Seekonk over fifty years ago.

A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1945, he attended the former Thibodeau Business School. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II as a Corporal.

A proud businessman, he was the owner and operator of Western Auto, Lisa's Ice Cream Shop and Ken's Bike Shop all in Johnston, RI. He was appointed by the Governor as the Seekonk Housing Commissioner. He was a longtime member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church where he served on the vestry and assisted in writing their history book.

Mr. Bridge was a member of the Fall River Kiwanis Club, the Over the Hill Gang, and the Jaycees. A champion skeet shooter, he belonged to the Seekonk, East Warren and Fall River Rod and Gun Clubs. He was also a former Fall River Archery Champion. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed, swimming, playing volleyball, ice hockey and his Monday night card league.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lisa Phillips and her husband Troy of Cumberland, RI, two grandchildren, Robbie Bridge Thorp and Torrin Erik Thorp, two nieces, one nephew and many great nieces and nephews. He was the brother-in-law of the late Robert H. Bradshaw. Mr. Bridge was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends.

His Funeral will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 9:00AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 81 Warren Ave., East Providence, RI. Visiting hours Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Contributions in his honor may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of New England, 335 Main St, Wilmington, MA 01887. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
