Rehoboth Green Energy Committee Gets Grant
The town’s Green Energy Committee has been awarded a grant of $148, 380 for being a part of the state’s Green Communities program.
The announcement was made by chairperson Carolyn Panofsky at Monday’s selectmen meeting. Panofsky said the money would go towards helping to reduce the amount of energy used for town buildings. “There’s a lot of energy savings to be gained,” Panofsky said.
Selectmen Chairman Gerry Schwall praised the committee, noting the grant money “will allow us to do things we wouldn’t have been able to do.”
