Upcoming Sunday Concerts
The Sunday concert series presented this spring by the Blanding was made possible in part by a grant from the Rehoboth Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
Be Kind to Our Earth May 10
Fun activities for kids are coming up on Sat. May 10 from 11 to 12:30. “Create your own terrarium” features Noelle Blais, who is going for her Girl Scout Gold Award. She will lead this program for children in kindergarten through grade 3. This will be followed by “Be Kind to Our Earth: You Can Make a Change”.
Also, LEGOS will be set up for anyone to drop in between 11 and 2. Look for news of summer programs for kids in next month’s Reporter.
Spring Clean-Up May 16
Come to Goff Hall on Friday May 16 from 10 to noon for a special spring clean-up event sponsored by local businesses. There will be free paper shredding services (limit of 3 boxes or bags per person) and also free ice cream! On hand will be local business people offering information on cleaning and maintaining your home and property, as well as topics such as finance, insurance, and health. Story Hours & Tot Times
Tot Time with Miss Joyce on Tuesdays at 10:30. Children under age 4 and their caregivers are invited to a fun interactive program of moment, music, games and more. Older siblings are welcome.
Story Time with Miss Cathy on Thursdays at 10:30. Join us for a story or two and a simple craft to make and take home. For children ages 3 and up. Older siblings welcome.
Ongoing Programs
The next meeting of the Blanding Book Club will be on Mon. June 4 at 7 pm to discuss “The Nature of Fragile Things” by Susan Meissner. Stop by the Blanding for a copy of this novel.
Hank Coleman continues the history group’s discussion on the founding fathers of American democracy on Wednesdays at 11. For further information, contact hjcoleman@comcast.net.
Book Donations: If you are looking for a place to donate books in good condition (no textbooks or magazines please), you can bring them into the library to donate to the annual used book sale held by the Friends of the Blanding Library in October.
