The GFWC Taunton and Raynham Jr. Woman's Club have been busy increasing membership, fundraising and socializing. In April Kathleen Sampson became a member of the club and was installed by membership chairman Joyce Clark. Nineteen club members attended the GFWC MA Junior Woman's Club Conference held at the Stoneforge Restaurant in Raynham where the club received a number of awards for donations to charitable groups, art contests and department projects. They were also recognized for donations to More Than Words; a youth run business and a vehicle for young people to take charge of their lives. The Freedom Quilters of Millbury Mass presented Quilts of Valor to recognize two club women, Cindy Brogan and her daughter Mary Ellen Founds who are both military veterans.

The GFWC Taunton and Raynham Junior Women's Club continues to collect funds for Edie Edlund's President's Project, the Turning Point Suffragist Memorial, to be built and dedicated in Virginia in 2020, and the club recently presented five hundred dollar scholarships to students Caroline Griffin and Madeline Masterson from Dighton Rehoboth High School, to Bristol Agricultural High School's Cassidy White; Taunton High's Hannah Jarvis, Bridgewater Raynham's Curtis Belanger, and Bristol Plymouth Regional High School's Victoria Pineretta who will be attending the college of their choice in the fall.

Members concluded the year with a June Social at Home Plate in Taunton and are organizing for their yearly fashion show which will be held in August.
They also made donations of eleven Book, Buddy and Blanket Bags to the Assonet Fire Department delivered by club member Jane Pacheco.

Firefighter/Paramedic Mark Lawrence happily accepted the comfort bags which will be used for children in emergency situations.
