Children's Advocacy Center of Bristol County Wing Eating Contest

Posted

The nonprofit Children’s Advocacy Center of Bristol County (CAC), a program of JRI that serves children as well as individuals with intellectual disabilities who have been victims of severe physical abuse, sexual abuse or a witness to violence, will be hosting a wing eating contest to raise awareness for National Child Abuse Prevention Month, which takes place in April.

Area residents are invited to attend and observe this free event that will feature various Bristol County city and town police officers, firefighters, EMS officials and other child safety personnel going head-to-head in a bracket-style wing eating competition. At the conclusion of the competition, one local department will be crowned the “2019 wing eating champion of Bristol County.”

This event is free and open to the public and will include raffles, live music and food for purchase. Support and sponsorship is provided by FUN107 radio station, Lafrance Hospitality and Wicked Undertow. All proceeds from the event will benefit the CAC’s efforts to raise awareness, as well as support and implement initiatives for child abuse prevention.
