Norman R. Bourassa, 76, passed away peacefully at his home on December 24th 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Pauline M. (Contois) Bourassa for fifty-six years. Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late George E. and Doris (Fortier) Bourassa.

Norman worked as a printer for thirty-two years at Carol Wire & Cable Co. before becoming a salesman for Central Paper Co., where he worked for twenty-one years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf and swimming. Norman was an avid baseball and football fan and he closely followed New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. He will be lovingly remembered for his kind and light-hearted personality, ability to light-up a room with his presence and his innate ability to make people laugh and put family and friends at ease.

Besides his beloved wife, Norman leaves three children, Gayle Bourassa Easton and her husband, Mitchel, of Hackensack, New Jersey, Mark Bourassa of Hampton, Virginia and Susan Bourassa-French and her husband, James, of Warwick; three grandsons, Jakob, Joshua and Jordan French; a sister, Janet L. Bourassa of Smithfield; a nephew; five nieces and his beloved “Bella”, the Boston Terrier. He was the brother of the late Robert G. Bourassa, of Rumford, RI.

Norman’s funeral will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. from William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. VISITATION will be Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
