My 2 cents Worth

Our town, through a network of volunteers, has provided good to excellent stewardship (AUDIT) for municipal budgets. I cannot say that I agree that level of stewardship (AUDIT) has been applied within the Dighton - Rehoboth Regional School District.

How many $35 million plus operations go from year to year without outside AUDIT?
ANSWER: NONE (that I am aware).

Rehoboth Taxpayers have been presented but ONE option: “PAY MORE”. And said option is given without (again my view) transparency by those who are financially vested to benefit.

So, with these thoughts in mind, and after separating the rhetoric from the (“grim”) nature of realty, I am still not persuaded that passage of a Proposition 2 ½ override is in the best interest of Rehoboth Taxpayers. Vote “NO” to the override.
