Michael Paul Mondor, 56, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 with his loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Michael was the son of Genevieve A. (Moniga) Mondor and the late Eugene P. Mondor, and husband to Cathy B. (Sherman) Mondor.

Mike was born in Attleboro on Jan. 6, 1962. He was a graduate of Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School, class of 1980 and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Southeastern Mass University. He was in the advertising and design field with his business partner and dear friend Mark Litos, working together under the company name Litos Advertising and Design Agency. In more recent years, Mike established Mondor Creative and continued his own graphic design work.

Mike was a sports enthusiast, had a passion for golf and was a member of the Rehoboth Country Club Men’s golf league. He also loved fishing, hiking, bird watching, spending time in Maine and on Martha’s Vineyard, and greatly valued his time with his wife and children.

Mike also was an avid lover of music and enjoyed playing the guitar and drums. He is remembered by his family and friends as being “one in a million,” a “true gentleman’s gentleman.”

In addition to his wife of nearly 30 years, and his mother, Michael is survived by his two children, his daughter Lindsay E. Pezzuolo and her husband Christopher A. of E. Taunton, and his son Evan P. Mondor of Rehoboth; his sister Donna Procopio and her husband Chuck of Rehoboth. He was also son-in-law to Robert and Joyce Sherman of N. Dighton and brother-in-law to Robert Jr. and Cathy Sherman, Paul and Susan Sherman, and Susan and David Araujo. He was Uncle Mike to many cherished nieces, nephews and great niece and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10 a.m. in Crapo Hathaway Funeral home, 350 Somerset Ave, Taunton, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Nicholas of Myra Church, 499 Spring Street, North Dighton, MA. Burial will be private at the request of the family.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 3 — 7p.m. in Crapo Hathaway Funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael P. Mondor Scholarship Fund, mailed to the Citizen Scholarship Foundation P.O. Box 696, Rehoboth MA, 02769. A scholarship has been established in Michael’s memory that will be given to a graduating senior golf athlete at Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School as Michael valued education and enjoyed the sport of golf.
