Michael K. Chandley of Rehoboth, Ma, died at home August 25, 2018. He was born in Providence, the son of the late Joseph E. Chandley and Elsie (Keenan) Chandley. Michael was the proprietor of Cellar Stories book store in Providence . The store was his life's work and literature his passion. He was gratified to have it named one of the top ten places to visit in Rhode Island by the editors of Yankee Magazine. They also noted Mikes "encyclopedic” knowledge of books. He is survived by his devoted daughter Tracy A. Chandley and her former spouse Jeff Kraatz. Michael also leaves his brothers and sisters; E. Maura Perrin, Susan Scanlon, Sean P. Chandley, Mark E. Chandley, Nancy Chandley Adams Carmel Watson and Neil B. Chandley. He will be dearly missed by his beloved grandchildren Corporal Jordan Kraatz USMC, Hunter Kraatz and Alison Kraatz and his great granddaughter, Mia. he was pre deceased by his brother Joseph E. Chandley Jr. Mike was also loved and will be sorely missed by his siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins his extended family at Blakes in Providence as well as his beloved employees at Cellar Stories.

There will be a funeral service for Michael on Tuesday, September 4th at 7:00 pm in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. His calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7 pm prior to the service in the funeral home. www.manningheffern.com.
