Marshall E. Fisher, Jr., 94, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018. He was the husband of Virginia M. (O’Neil) Fisher to whom he was married 67 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Marshall E. Fisher , Sr. and Edith H. (Burgess) Fisher. Mr. Fisher was the owner & operator of Fisher’s Feed Store in Rehoboth and Gin’s Coin -Op in Seekonk. Prior to operating his two businesses he was a Finance Company manager. He was an Army veteran of World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge and the 648 Tank Destroyer Battalion under General Patton. Mr. Fisher was a former Selectman and Treasurer in Rehoboth, a life member of the D.A.V. and a charter member of the Rehoboth Lions Club. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Kenneth Fisher and his wife Nancy, Stephen Fisher and his wife Maureen, four grandsons, Nathan, Brendan, Jonathan and Neil, one great grandson, Lucas and many nieces and nephews. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His funeral service and visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 9:30 AM in the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Jude’s Children Hospital would be appreciated.
