John M. “Jack” Rudis, Jr.


John M. “Jack” Rudis, Jr. 60, of Rehoboth, passed away at home on Monday, September 25, 2017. He was the loving husband of 33 years to Charlene (Corey) Rudis.Jack was born in Warwick, RI and was a son of John M. Rudis and the late Jean (Dunn).

Jack worked as a welder, owned his own lawn care company, and later worked as a custodian for the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School for many years. Jack was an animal lover and enjoyed gardening, photography and watching the New England Patriots. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his children.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters, Alysia Rudis of Texas, Michelle Donahue and her husband Edward of Scituate, RI, and Elizabeth Rudis and her fiancée Stephen Labossiere of Fall River; brothers, James Rudis and his wife Charry and Stephen Rudis and his fiancée Kim Booth Campbell all of N. Kingston, RI; sister, Michael Jean “Mickey” Lourenco and her husband Fred of Warwick and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 10am from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Dominic’s Church 1277 GAR Hwy., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 2-5pm in the funeral home

Burial will follow in Rehoboth Village Cemetery.
