John F. Sheehan, Jr.

John F. Sheehan, Jr., 83, of Hillside Avenue, Rehoboth, died peacefully on July 5, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Theresa S. (Beaudette) Sheehan.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late John F. Sheehan Sr. and Mary (Higgins) Sheehan, he lived in Rehoboth for 45 years.

Mr. Sheehan was the owner-operator of Coastal Credit Services for 44 years before retiring in 2020.

John enjoyed breeding and showing horses.

Mr. Sheehan served in the United States Marine Reserves.

Besides his wife of fifty seven years, he is survived by three sons, John F. Sheehan III of Rochester, MA, Christopher M. Sheehan of Rehoboth, MA and Matthew P. Sheehan of Assonet, MA; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Linda Volpe of Narragansett and Barbara Carey of Narragansett; two brothers, James Sheehan of Lincoln and Daniel Sheehan of Providence and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William Sheehan.

His Funeral will be held on Monday July 11, 2022 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
