Education Now 2.0 (EN 2.0) is embarking on groundbreaking new research to learn about the real impact of the Covid 19 pandemic in our schools.   What is really happening in our classrooms and how are students and teachers coping with change?  Let’s find out Now!

EN 2.0 is conducting interviews with both students and teachers across the globe to learn the real, personal impact of Covid 19 on their lives.   Through one-on-one personal interviews, we are learning the impact of the pandemic on traditional and non-traditional classrooms across the globe.

One of our student interviewers is Ava Valianti, an EN2.0 volunteer from Newbury MA, USA.  She is a sixth grade student at Newbury Elementary School.  She will be conducting interviews with students across the USA including a ninth grader who attends a Native Hawaiian School on the Big Island of Hawaii.  She will also be interviewing an eighth grade student from Kathmandu, Nepal to gain an international perspective.  Following her interviews, Ava will be sharing their personal stories about how their school life has been impacted.

An additional focus of our research is to learn about the experience of teachers.  Interviews with teachers will be conducted to learn their personal hopes and concerns about the future of education.  We will be asking them how they view the short and long term impact of remote learning as well as the key technology and social issues that impact teaching and learning.

Please stay tuned for the results of our research which promises new, personal perspectives on the impact of the pandemic on education.

EN2.0's mission is to educate the global community about healthy and sustainable education practices. By creating and encouraging healthy learning environments, both locally and abroad, we strive to educate students with a strong focus on S.T.E.A.M. curricula.

Along with our focus on S.T.E.A.M. learning, EN2.0 is committed to a robust civics education.  All EN2.0 lessons and curriculum engage students in local civic activities as well as focus on how our actions impact the wider world around us.
