Attleboro Historic Preservation Society's Annual House Tour

Posted

Attleboro Historic Preservation Society's annual house tour is June 2nd from 10 AM - 3 PM. Tickets are $20 and will go on sale May 19th and 26th from 10 - 1 at the Attleboro Area Industrial Museum (42 Union Ave) and on June 2 from 9:30 - 1:30 PM.

Five beautiful and historically significant Attleboro homes are included in the tour. A featured home was formerly owned by a descendant of John Daggett (Nathaniel Daggett) and built around 1724. The property originally included 200 acres (Thayer Farm Road is named for one of the descendant's). The property became a dairy farm in 1914. The present owners have restored the home by exposing the original hand-hewn beams and replacing the old doors. The home retains many of the original features.
