This year’s school yearbook dedication

On June 15th, I had the privilege of celebrating with our Emma G. Whiteknact Elementary School families at the School’s fifth grade celebration and had a blast running the grill for the celebration’s cook out. It was an honor to be able to participate in the fifth graders’ send off by acknowledging their accomplishments and wishing them well, as they embark on the next chapter of their lives this Fall in middle school.

I felt most honored in having had the opportunity to work with a group of parents and staff like those at Whiteknact Elementary. As the reality of this past school year rushes to mind, while realizing that it is come to an end, I feel so blessed! Together, we have accomplished some huge tasks throughout the year. Namely, we succeeded in giving our students what we hope to have been a memorable year with some fun dances; various extracurricular events, such as parties, a wellness event, extra field trips, guest speakers; and having raised over $50,000 for our playground initiative. This year, my role was facilitated by working shoulder to shoulder with such an AWESOME team comprised of PTA Parents and Whiteknact Staff. They are the reason we have been able to accomplish some amazing things. Together we share a love for our kids and community.

As this school year concludes, I am overwhelmed with sincere gratitude for the opportunity to serve as the PTA President over the past couple of years. However, I must recognize the following individuals – without them, we would not have been able to reach such successes!
