What Do We Need In A Mayor? Proven Leadership!

Posted

This year, when East Providence needed expert leadership in a hurry, where did we look? Who did we hire?

EP chose Police Chief, Christopher Parella, as Acting City Manager, and Police Captain, Michael David, as Acting Human Resources Director. Unquestionably, when substantial changes were needed, EP chose leaders from its exceptional police force. Without doubt, these men are top ranking professionals we can trust. Captain Bob DaSilva is one of them – a man of strength and honesty – a man we can believe and trust – a man who has already risen to a top professional rank of Captain in the police force.

Not only is Captain DaSilva a leader in law enforcement, (as a Lieutenant he lead the Internal Affairs Department) he has been a leading Public Servant, (East Providence State Representative), where he earned a reputation of honesty and integrity – a man of his word. He is a Community Leader, strongly supporting law and order, a life-long belief he has carried over to his position of founder and president of the East Providence Youth Soccer Association. He has committed himself to doing all in his power to help keep kids on the right path to health and success.

Captain Bob DaSilva’s vision for East Providence is one of optimism and opportunity. What do we need in a superior leader? Honesty – Accountibility – Leadership! It’s time.

East Providence needs Roberto (Bob) DaSilva’s leadership and vision as our Mayor.

Respectfully Submitted,

Sandy Barone, former State Representative
