Mary L.(Rosa) Cordeiro

Mary L.(Rosa) Cordeiro, age 81, of Moorland Avenue, East Providence, died on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Cordeiro.

Born in Portugal, a daughter of the late Francisco P. and Philomena (Vieira) Rosa, she lived in East Providence for over 60 years.

Mrs. Cordeiro was employed at Bard Davol, Inc. in Cranston and Providence for over 40 years before retiring. She also worked part-time as a hairdresser.

She is survived by a son, Joseph H. Cordeiro, and his wife Kathleen, of Warwick; three grandchildren, Derrick J. Cordeiro, Michael P. Cordeiro, and his wife Shanna Kelly-Cordeiro, and Brian S. Cordeiro; and two great-grandchildren, Emily and Chloe. She was the sister of the late Gilbert Rose and Roger Rosa.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, March 23, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
