Hannah Fitts named to NESCAC All-Academic

Lewiston, ME -- Hannah Fitts of Rumford, R.I., has received 2018-19 NESCAC Spring All-Academic honors. Fitts, the daughter of Dr. Sherri C. Nelson of Rumford, R.I., and Mr. Frederic P. Fitts and Ms. Susan B. Sluyter of Cambridge, Mass.,, is a 2016 graduate of Lincoln School. She is majoring in physics and minoring in Spanish and mathematics at Bates.

Fitts, a member of the Women's Rowing team, is one of sixty-eight students from Bates College's soring sports teams who received the honor from the New England Small College Athletic Conference. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 (raised from 3.40 a year ago).
