Gabriel T. Silva, 83 of Cushman Avenue passed away Wednesday March 8, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Fernanda C. (Menezes) Silva. Born in Paget, Bermuda he was the son of the late Gabriel Silva and Maria Trinidade (Faria) Lopes. Gabriel worked as a custodian for the East Providence School Department. He is survived by his six sons Gabriel T. Silva Jr. of NJ, Richard Silva of Riverside, Gary Silva of Riverside, John Silva of Bristol, Antone Silva of Swansea, Michael Silva of East Providence, eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild. He was the brother of the late Gladys DaSilva. His funeral will be held on Monday March 13, 2017 at 9 AM from the Perry – McStay Funeral Home 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday from 4-7 PM.
