To alleviate the dismal Cheetah survival rates worldwide, several breeding programs are under way to shore up the dwindling numbers. These programs breed cheetahs for reintroduction, as well as to strength
en the gene pool. The survival of endangered predators like cheetahs depends not only on ethical and informed breeding practices but also on building a conservation economy that protects both farmers and predators.
Dr. Mary Ball Howkins, who has volunteered at the Hoesdpruit Centre for Endangered Species in South Africa, will explain it all in her presentation on Cheetah Conservation in South Africa.
The program is free but space is limited. Please call 508-821-1676 to reserve your seat or for additional information.
