Bristol County Chorus Invites New Members
Come sing with us! The Bristol County Chorus is preparing for its 43nd annual Christmas Concert to be performed at St. Mary’s Church in Bristol, RI on Sunday December 8th. It is a non-auditioned community focused chorus, first organized by Joan Roth, and now under the dynamic and engaging leadership of Nicholas Rocha. The Chorus, based in Bristol, performs a broad range of classical and contemporary repertoire and provides a fantastic opportunity for singers who are simply passionate about making music with friends! The annual Christmas concert is accompanied each year by a professional orchestra and this year’s program, entitled Come All Ye Faithful, will include Christmas favorites such as Do You Hear What I Hear, David Wilcox’s O Come All Ye Faithful, Wreath of Carrols and other festive Christmas music.
We welcome interested singers at a Meet and Greet at 6:30 PM followed by an informational meeting and open rehearsal on Monday, September 9 at the First Congregational Church, 300 High Street, Bristol. Subsequent meetings will be on Monday from 7 PM to 9PM at the same location with open rehearsals continuing on September 16th and the 23rd. Nominal ability to read music always helps, but a good ear and a desire to learn are more important! The Chorus is in need of bases, tenors and sopranos. Dues is $50. Please consider joining us for what should be an exciting season of singing! Look for us on Facebook!
