Zulmira Cunha
Zulmira Cunha, age 91, of Orchard St., died January 23, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Eugene Cunha. Born in Graciosa, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Antonio S. DaSilva and Senhorinha Sousa.
She worked as a solderer for Avid Corp. for 21 years, retiring in 1976.
She is survived by her children; Beverly A. DaSilva and husband Guilherme of East Providence, Eugene E. Cunha and wife Filomena of East Providence., 5 grandchildren; Paul and Nicole DaSilva, Stephanie Travassos, Crystal White, Christopher Cunha, 5 great grandchildren, Mason, Ryan, Natasha, Olivia and Alexandra. She was the sister of Natalia Cunha of Ceres, CA, Carlos DaSilva of East Providence and the late Georgina Melo, Idalina Quadros, David DaSilva, Jose Nelson DaSilva, Maria Labao and Maria Helena Simao.
Her funeral will begin on Saturday at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am in Sacred Heart Church, Taunton Ave., East Providence. Burial will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Sacred Heart Church or Kindred Hospice.
