Yvonne (Lema) McGurn
Yvonne (Lema) McGurn, 85, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2023, at Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation in Providence, surrounded by her family Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Charles and Hilda (Medeiros) Lema.
Yvonne was the cherished wife of James L. McGurn, Sr. and mother of James L. McGurn ,Jr. of East Providence, and daughter Lisa McGurn, also of East Providence.
As a sister, Yvonne shared a special bond with Charles Lema and David Lema, both of East Providence. She was also the sister of the late Virginia Curvelo and the late Robert Lema.
Yvonne was a proud grandmother, of four grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Monday July 10,2023 at 9:00am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Sacred Heart Church, 118 Taunton Avenue, East Providence.
Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are on Sunday from 1:00pm- 4:00pm at the funeral home.
