William R. “Bill” Needham, 68, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at his home. He was the husband of Cathy L. (Franko) Needham to whom he was married 30 years.

Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Leonard and Florence (Brown) Needham. Bill was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Roger Williams Medical Center for 39 years before he retired. He was also a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved taking pictures, especially weddings and outdoor photography. Bill was diagnosed with dementia after he became ill and loved going to the Sacred Heart Senior Center and meeting new friends.

Besides his wife he leaves one sister, Carleen Needham, two brothers, Wayne Needham and Brian Needham, five nephews, two nieces, five great nephews and one great niece. He was the brother of the late Doreen McCarthy and Faith Needham.

His funeral service and visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 10-11 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
