West Place Animal Sanctuary Fall Visitors Weekend

Posted

What: The public is invited to visit and fall in love with the furry and feathery farm animal rescues of West Place Animal Sanctuary in Tiverton. Guests will get up close and personal with alpacas, donkeys, horses, pigs and a variety of other animals, all while learning about the non_profit organization’s life-saving work. Interactive and guided tours leave every 30 minutes, and guests can explore unique and hand-crafted items from the farm in the West Place gift shop.

Why: West Place holds just three Visitors Weekends each year, which also serve as critical fundraising events. Hundreds of guests from throughout New England will experience the sights, sounds, and smells of the sanctuary located on the “farm coast.” Tour guides will share animals’ stories as well as the efforts West Place takes to provide ongoing, lifelong care to the survivors of animal abuse, cruelty, and neglect. Visitors will quickly realize that farm animals are just as deserving of our care as traditional pets, and West Place will continue to cultivate a more compassionate community.

Who: Registration is open to all. Advance online registration is recommended at https://www.westplace.org/visitors-weekends . Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under, and all donations benefit the farm animals and wildlife of West Place.

When and Where: Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022 and Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022 - 9:30am to 4:30pm West Place Animal Sanctuary, 3198 Main Road, Tiverton, RI 02878
