Vivian V. O’Halloran, 99, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Scandinavian Home. She was the wife of the late John T. O’Halloran and the late John J. Hudson. Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Albert G. and Sigrid E. (Perrson) Johnson. Mrs. O’Halloran was an assembler for PME Electronics before retiring and previously worked for the Halladay Printing Company. She was a PTA Room Mother and a Cub Scout Den Mother. Vivian was the oldest member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and served on many church committees. She enjoyed reading, cooking, entertaining and simple conversation. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and caretaker. She leaves one daughter, Joyce Collard and her husband Thomas of Rumford, one son, Robert Hudson and his wife Lillian of Seekonk, one stepdaughter, Maryann Hudson of Cumberland, one stepson, John O’Halloran III and his wife Robin of Riverside, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and her niece Judith Laird. She was the mother of the late David Hudson and sister of the late Helen E. Laird. The family wishes to thank the entire staff of the Scandinavian Home for their mother’s loving care, especially her CNA, Doreen. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 10:00 AM in Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 15 Hayes Street, Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 in the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence.
