Virginia “Ginny” (McElroy) Rogers passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the devoted wife of the late Edward “Bucky” Rogers.

Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late William and Gladys (McConnell) McElroy. Ginny was employed in the banking business for many years and was a bank manager for Pawtucket Savings & Trust in East Providence.

She leaves eight brothers and sisters, Mae Richardson, Joan Paone, Nancy Grant, Thomas, Robert, Edward, Stephen and Daniel McElroy. She was a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Gladys Souza, Catherine McKenna, Marjorie Meunier, Arlene Thurber, William, James and John McElroy.

Her funeral and visitation will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 would be deeply appreciated.
