Vincent E. Bouthillier

Vincent E. Bouthillier, 86, passed away peacefully and went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Rita F. (Tessier) Bouthillier for 63 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Joseph & Marie (Chartier) Bouthillier.

A graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Vincent served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a supervisor at Verizon, formerly New England Telephone Company, until retiring in 1990. Vincent was a kind and generous husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was always first to extend care, compassion and a helping hand. He was patient, accepting and abounding in hope until the very end of his life. Truly an inspiration to all those who knew and loved him.

Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters, Denise Jensen (Robert) of Lincoln; Susan Stafford (Daniel) of Rochester, NY; Lisa Cooney (Scott) of Omaha, NE; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Erik and Brittany Jensen; Erin Stutz, Daniel and Joshua Stafford; Shannon and Benjamin Cooney and great-grandson, Jonah. He was the youngest brother of the late Jacqueline Walsh, Mance Paquette, Yolande and Jean Bouthillier, Clarisse Muscatiello.

Visitation will begin on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by Services at 10 a.m. at William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hope Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
